Contact Jointed Pelham
This jointed pelham is made of stainless steel, designed never to bend, rust or break. The jointed mouthpiece reduces any tendency, of the horse, to lean; a problem often associated with the pelham family. Due to the thin jointed mouthpiece, this is one of the stronger pelham bits. It is also often more suitable for Arabs or horses with small mouths, than the mullen or portmouth pelhams. Ideally used with double reins – the curb rein, applies poll pressure to lower the horse’s head and curb groove pressure to tilt the angle of the nose in towards the chest. The snaffle rein has a more direct contact with the horse’s mouth. It can also be used with rein connectors and therefore a single rein
